So earlier this week, My iPod headphones break.  Wonderful.  So then I'm walking home listening to my music out of my right ear only (it really screws up ur eardrums after a while. its weird.) I put the other one in my ear out of force of habit, and as I was lifting my leg, I could hear first a fizz, then a scratch, and finally a part of the song i was listening to.  And it was like, there is hope!  My long lost music has a chance of being restored!  It was truly a wonderful moment, over something semi-small.  It's interesting where u can find articles of hope in the oddest places.

What is the worth of one day wasted?

So today, I went to church, it was alright, except for this one odd situtation.  One of the leader guys was sitting behind us during the sermon, and Grant was talking about something relating to something that the preacher guy was talkin bout, and i was listenin to him, and then the guy taps me, and says to listen to the preacher.  I nod my head and turn to face him, even though it was Grant that had said it.  Why fight, right?  Anyway, later, Grant and Thomas are having a miniconversation, and the guy that tapped me says nothing to them.  nothing.  and then, about 6 feet behind him, there's this rather large group of kids that are being kind of random, and he does nothing to stop them.  In those 6 feet, there is nothing but carpet and concrete, no ones in his way to stop him.  So why me?  Perhaps it is nature for any minority (not just race, but whenever you're outnumbered, whether race, gender, social class, etc.) to question if their characteristics have a part in what happened.  I feel it to be racism (quite ironic, in church of all places).  But it does point to something i've been thinking about.  God is perfect.  People of God are not.  You must block out some of the people of God that say things that are contradictory, and must question what they say, as compared to what you think it should be, on a higher, ethical level.  God is about equality, love, and grace.  Imagine yourself as God, and question whether the things that they say fit perfectly in all 3 categories (or you know...relate to them in a positive way).  We must forgive those who are wayward in the path to God, and we must always check what people say with what you think God would say.  Make sense?

Schools are created from clusters.  People move to a subdivision, which is assigned an elementary school, which usually all pools to the same middle school, which usually all pulls to the same high school.  Imagine, how completely different you can be when you move across the street.  You are shaped by your environment (your genes too, but I’m not going into that right now), and in every single school of every single county in every single state of the US, they offer completely different and diverse environments. We live in a world of parallels.  These people that take the same classes, take the same friends, do the same activities, we know not of.  Why? When we live just down the street of these people.  It’s so highly variable it’s insane to the point that you wonder how you could make any friends at all.  Makes the beauty of order really shine, doesn't it?

For those of you who still read this, get a life.
